Caleb McDuff isn’t just part of the FASCAR family, he’s one of the most remarkable young drivers in British motorsport today.

After losing his hearing as a child due to illness, Caleb has learned to live, and race, in a world of roaring engines without ever hearing them. His journey has been defined by determination, resilience, and a refusal to let obstacles hold him back.

Caleb first discovered racing at a young age, cutting his teeth in grassroots karting. Without the advantage of hearing engine notes or spoken instructions, he developed a unique driving style built on feel, focus, and instinct. What began as a family hobby soon grew into a mission, to prove that deafness is no barrier to success.

Climbing the motorsport ladder, Caleb progressed through national karting championships, securing podiums and race wins along the way. In 2023, he made a breakthrough move into car racing, and is now driving a McLaren GT4 in the Britcar endurance championship. Competing against seasoned professionals, he quickly impressed with his speed, racecraft, and maturity beyond his years.

A key part of his success has been the use of cochlear implant technology, which allows Caleb to communicate with his race engineers during a race. While he still cannot hear the engine quite like other drivers, these implants provide a vital lifeline of information, enabling him to adapt to strategy calls and feedback in real time.

Away from the circuit, Caleb has shared his journey through his biography Breaking the Sound Barrier, inspiring young people, schools, and communities across the UK. With his sights now firmly set on the Porsche Carrera Cup and beyond, Caleb continues to push the boundaries of what’s possible.
